We Are Everything We Are Looking For
What if the thing you have spent your entire life searching for…
was never outside of you?
What if the love you keep looking for,
the validation you keep chasing,
the success you think will finally make you enough,
the person you believe will complete you,
the place you think will finally bring you peace—
was never the answer?
We are everything we are looking for.
We just spend our lives trying to find it somewhere else.
We look for love in another person because we haven’t learned to fully love ourselves.
We look for worth in achievement because we’ve forgotten that our worth existed before we achieved anything.
We look for peace in a new relationship, a new city, a new job, a new house, a new body, a new life…
when what we’re really looking for is an internal experience.
To feel safe.
To feel enough.
To feel alive.
To feel free.
And so we keep moving.
Searching.
Accumulating.
Achieving.
Leaving.
Starting again.
Believing that the next thing will finally give us what this thing couldn’t.
But perhaps the greatest discovery of your life isn’t finding what you’ve been missing.
It’s discovering that you were never missing anything.
You were simply disconnected from what was already there.
The peace was underneath the noise.
The confidence was underneath the fear.
The love was underneath the armour.
The freedom was underneath the need to control everything.
The person you were desperately trying to become…
was often buried underneath everything you believed you had to be.
Maybe life isn’t asking you to become someone else.
Maybe it’s asking you to remove everything that isn’t you.
The expectations.
The conditioning.
The fear.
The resentment.
The need for approval.
The old stories.
The identities you built to survive.
Until there is nothing left to prove.
Nothing left to chase.
Nothing left to become.
Just you.
And perhaps, for the first time, you realise:
You were never looking for yourself.
You were looking for permission to be yourself.
And that permission was yours all along.
We are everything we are looking for.
The search ends when we finally turn around and meet ourselves.
Mic drop.
